Welcome To Our New Website
Welcome to the Ohio Lions Eye Research Foundation’s web site. In these pages you will find interesting and useful information regarding conditions affecting sight, and the efforts of the Ohio Lions to prevent blindness through research.
Our foundation was established over 60 years ago with one clear mandate; provide research opportunities that will prevent blinding disease.
We fund research at the great research institutions in Ohio. Our funded partners are investigating the eye in many and various ways: genetic, bioengineering, mechanical correction, biochemical and nutrition. What they all have in common is they answer the challenge Helen Keller made to Lions in 1925 to be, “Knights of the Blind in the crusade against darkness.”
We are proud to be Ohio Lions, and proud to be a part of the valuable and innovative eye research community here in Ohio.
We welcome your comments, and thank you for your interest in our efforts to prevent blindness.

You’re visiting the new www.ohiolionseyeresearch.com. While the content is essentially the same, our new design is built on the best practices of current Web development. We hope that makes it easier for you to find the resources you’re seeking from the Ohio Lions Eye Research Foundation!
In this 62th anniversary year of our founding, we continue to be inspired by the passion and dedication we see in researchers and funders all working on behalf of those with varying eye diseases.
As part of our commitment to keeping our work easily accessible, we have created a more navigable website with additional resources, better tools, and a new visual design. Stay tuned in the coming months for new resources in each of these areas. With our completely redesigned site, you are now able to search our existing materials more easily.
Reflecting our long-standing commitment to learning and continuous improvement, we welcome your feedback as we continue to improve this site. While much of the heavy lifting is being done by a content management system that isn’t visible to our users, you may want to check out some of the enhanced features on the new site.
