For over 60 years the Foundation has been supporting
research on numerous eye diseases at a variety of Ohio
Institutions.
The Ohio LIONS Eye Research Foundation Awards
about $125,000 – $175,000 in research grants and
fellowship grants each year. There are dedicated funds
for Age-related Macular degeneration as well as Diabetic
eye disease, including diabetic retinopathy and cataract.
At a recent meeting of the Ohio Lions Eye
Research Foundation Board of Trustees, the
trustees approved the distribution of $128,400
in eye research, diabetes research, age-related
macular degeneration and fellowship grants.
